Just a random picture. I was going through my photo album and came across it.
Over the weekend, I met up with a friend, whom I rarely get to see! She drove up from La Jolla, and we ended up going to a place called Yogis Beach Bar. The night was full of vodka tonics, laughter, and maybe even a little fist pumping?! haha. Our friends SP and Emily also spent the evening with us, they're definitely always down for a good time and I'm so glad they were able to make it out! Afterwards, we made a stop at the trusty Jack in the Box, or as my bf calls it, J Bo's, where we ordered 14 tacos and a bacon cheeseburger! So much for my diet! don't worry, I only had one taco... my bf managed to take care of our portion of the tacos lol. anyway, that was pretty much my Saturday night. I would've taken more photos in different locations, other than the table lol, but my bf lost the charger to my camera, so I'm relying on photos taken off of my friend's camera.

on another note:
OMG, if you haven't seen George Lopez's HBO stand up comedy specials, you definitely have to check it out! He is one hilarious man! I think I find his humor funnier now because I have a bf who's part Mexican, and he's taught me a lot of the slang and behaviors that George had mentioned. Regardless, the man is definitely amusing.

I still have to post those photos of my eyelashes that I ordered off of ebay! I haven't uploaded them, but i will!

Today's been an irritable kind of day. It started off with trying to wake up from crazy scary dreams, only to find that my body felt paralyzed and my eyes couldn't open! It's like my mind was awake before my body. So creepy, I seriously hate when that happens! Does that ever happen to anyone else? My bf experiences the same thing sometimes. Strange. Then, when I finally woke up, I felt like someone had beaten me up with a bat while I was sleeping! My body was achy and I had a gnarly headache! I don't know what it is, but today was a crappy day for me. I took like a 3 hour nap, and now I feel a little better lol. But, tomorrow's a new day! I want to get out and take tons of photos, not sure of what... I just know that's what I want to do. Oh, and I almost forgot, I have photos to post that my bf took of me in the house, just randomly. He likes taking photos when the sun comes through our balcony doors. Nothing fancy, I was literally on the computer at home when he says, "go sit in the sun." lol. uhh, ok? Of course, my puppies had to get in the mix. They can't not be around me for even a minute... worse than kids I tell ya! So, you'll get to see them as well. Alright, it's 9:30 and I need to get to the store to buy some water and drop off movies that we rented. We literally go through one of those 24 - 32 packs of bottled water in like a week! And ever since we discovered RedBox, we haven't been to Blockbuster in like a year. haha! it's convenient and fast! Only downfall is that we watch a lot of movies, so the selection gets limited. We don't have any tv in our house since we're moving! We literally have a bed...and that's about it! Ugh, I can't wait till this move is over and we get situated again. Anyway, have a good night! Will post again tomorrow! :]

p.s. I just bought the first season of Glee...and i loveeee! :P

So, what have i been up to? [photo overload]

Since I completely neglected my blog for 3 months and am now ready to continue blogging, I've decided to post up pictures of what I've been doing for those lost months. I recently made a trip back to Anchorage, Alaska (which is where I'm from), to visit family and friends during the holidays. So, there's those pictures, but also pictures from after I came back to San Diego. My visit to Alaska lasted a good 3 weeks. The weather was quite chilly, and I wasn't prepared for the drastic change from sunny San Diego to freezing cold Alaska. Although the weather kept me wanting to stay home, I managed to meet up with friends and show my bf (who's born and raised in SD) what Alaska has to offer. Basically, this post is just a recap of my favorite memories with some of my favorite people during the last couple of months. WARNING! There's a crapload of pictures! :D

So it's been over a month...lol

side note (before the day is over...one last thought):
So i decided to make chicken teriyaki, potato salad, and fried rice for dinner...One of John's faves.  Coming from an upbringing that involved restaurants since I was the age of 7 really seems to have influenced my life.  My mom has been the owner of several restaurants ever since I could remember, five to be exact, and all those years working at her places really enhanced my culinary knowledge!  I'm now grateful for the experiences, which I used to dread, of working for her.  I LOVE food!  Here's some photos of our dinner:

From the pictures, it looks like John enjoyed it! :]

I knew I'd be too lazy to update this thing all the time...
So here's a recap of my month:

I had amazing friends come visit San Diego in the last month.  It's always nice to see an old friend, especially when you rarely ever get to see them.  Here's a few pictures of their visit to SD:

Definitely good times!  It made me realize how special those childhood friends really are. No one can ever replace them and no matter how long it's been since you last seen them, it's like the bond between you never changed.
Next stop...Seattle! To go visit Charr and Tay. ;]

Ok, so before I start rambling about my next random topic, I'd like to address something that's somewhat important to know and relevant to this blog.  You might be thinking, "Why the title Three rolled tacos with a side of kimchi?"  Well, as a lot of you might know, I live in a house full of boys.  My beautiful boyfriend John and our two boys Landon and Harry. Here's some photos of our boys:

Yes, they're dogs... no children yet! But, they might as well be considering the way that they act.  Anyway back to the title.  My boyfriend John's ethnicity consists of Spanish, Mexican, and Filipino.  His family is much more heavily influenced by the Mexican culture than anything else, so therefore, I call him my mexican lol.  Although, I'm sad to say he doesn't speak a lick of Spanish, nor does he really know much about the culture.  My two boys, Landon and Harry, both being Chihuahuas, are also "Mexican," since they originate from Mexico. haha.  The bf loves rolled tacos and I figured the "three rolled tacos" would represent my three Mexican boys, and I, alone, would be the side of kimchi.  Yes, I am 100% korean.  A lot of people ask what my nationality is, so there it is.  Oh, and the url: www.loveangdu.blogspot.com has to do with my Korean name.  It's pronounced Eng-Doo...but for some reason I've always wrote it as AngDu.  Anyway, it's a goofy name my grandma gave me because she couldn't pronounce Andrea...it came out as Engdoorea. hahah. Btw, it means Cherry, as in the fruit. ;]

Next topic.
Unfortunately, my ridiculously grown out roots needed some TLC.  Rather than making my normal drive down to PB to get my hair done, I opted for a more reasonable distance.  I searched online and found a girl name Yuki Hikida.  She has a little hair salon in Carlsbad, and I figure most Asians understand Asian hair.  She did a nice job on the hair cut, but the color turned out a lot lighter than I had anticipated.  All I needed was a "touch up" on my roots, but nonetheless, I walked out of the salon as a blonde.  I don't find it hideous, It's actually growing on me and I'm starting to dig the new do.  BUT, it was kind of a shock when I first looked into the mirror at home and REALLY checked it out.  Here's a before and after photo:
It's not as noticeable in the photos, but there's a drastic change!

Alright, that's all I can really think of posting for now...I know, boring right? lol
I'll definitely work on being a little more consistent with my posts.
Till next time!

xoxo,
Andrea
